GST for sales inside and outside the state

For a sale to a customer inside Tamil Nadu, the GST on a bill is shown as CGST and SGST. For a sale to a customer in another state, it is shown as IGST. Effy Order picks between these from the customer’s state, using the tax rate you have saved for each HSN code, so the person billing does not choose it by hand.

Discounts, extra charges such as delivery or packing, credit notes for returns and GST and sales reports are all there. For the exact rules that apply to your business, ask your accountant.

Credit, dues and the end of the day

Credit is part of trade in Tamil Nadu, and many shops keep it in a ledger book. In Effy Order each customer has a pending amount, you record payments when they come in and you can adjust advances on new orders. The day-end closing report shows bills, money collected by payment mode, pending amount and profit.
